Outcomes

Graduates will be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of concepts underpinning management, 

accounting and finance, business communication, marketing, organisational change and project management both within established organisations and in start-up situations. 

The programme enables graduates to enrich their business skills or pursue higher studies and professional development opportunities. 

Specifically, graduates will be able to: 

• Demonstrate a sound understanding of relevant academic theories and models in all components.
• Be aware of how technology impacts on industry and organisational issues vary across sectors: not-forprofit, ICT, commercial, global, SME etc.
• Understand the role of technology management in the development and operation of markets for resources, goods and services, customer expectations, service and orientation. 
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of finance and financial control in relation to technology management. 
• Develop appropriate technology policies and strategies within a changing context to meet stakeholder interests. 
• Think critically and systematically about business problems and issues and propose solutions.
• Manage and complete a business project reportutilisingconcepts covered within the programme. 
• Analyse and make recommendations in respect of business problems through the submission of that business project report. 

The qualification can lead to further academic/tertiary study in this area or direct employment into the workforce. 

Academic qualification equivalents

• Applicants must have completed at least a Diploma level 6 or equivalent in a technology related area, or any degree from a recognised institution

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS    :     overall band score of at least 6.0 (Academic), with no individual band less than 5.5
• PTE       :     have a Pearson Academic Test score of 50 and above with no individual band score less than 42

New Zealand Living Expenses

You'll require between $20,000 and $25,000 a year ($380–480 per week) for housing/rent, food, transportation, phone bills, internet usage, and entertainment, in addition to your tuition and insurance fees. The average living expense will be the same for everyone, regardless of their tuition or course price. Please keep in mind that these are only suggestions; the Immigration New Zealand requirement is $15,000 per year including return travel or an additional $2,000.
